New Mexican Lager Launches in 16oz Cans
Tractor Brewing Company is excited to announce the limited release of NEW MEXICAN LAGER in 16oz cans for May 2017! Tractor’s take on popular Mexican imports, New Mexican Lager has gained popularity in their Albuquerque taprooms since it’s initial draft release as a seasonal selection in the summer of 2016. This success prompted other establishments to request outside distribution and a move toward regular availability year round with more package options. Draft and cans of New Mexican Lager will be available through Premier Distributing Company and L&F Distributors.
Can artwork was created by celebrated Albuquerque artist David Santiago and features a New Mexico landscape and the face of a New Mexican woman. Santiago has partnered with Tractor Brewing Company on their Delicious Red Hard Apple Cider, Almanac IPA, Farmer’s Tan Red Ale and Milk Mustachio Stout cans as well.
To celebrate the can release, Tractor Brewing Company worked with community organizer and artist Carlos Contreras to create a glass dedicated to the style. The glass features the hand style artwork of Contreras and is available throughout the month of May at the Wells Park Brewery location (1800 4th Street NW).
The initial inspiration for NEW MEXICAN LAGER came from a desire and demand for a local craft beer that counterbalanced the traditional Albuquerque IPA. A beer that was lower in alcohol and balanced. A beer that could take on Taco Tuesday or Friday night. Somewhere between brazenly bold and enchantingly sweet, this New Mexican Lager is neither American nor Mexican. This crisp brew has a lacy white head and delightful golden hue to match the sunny state it homages. Well balanced, deceptively complex, yet simple in finish; this is a lager you enjoy in any of the four gentle Zia seasons. Beban profundamente, amigos.
