Knock, Knock, Who’s There? #BlogMONDAY!

GetPlowedBlog

Knock, Knock! Who’s there? Oh, just your friendly non profit, Health Action NM here to tell you there are new affordable health coverage options out there for you and your family.

That’s right! Health Action NM, one of Tractor Brewing Company’s Beer for a Better Burque partners, will be hosting a door to door canvassing project to reach a goal of 100,000 doors knocked between November 8-February 15.

The project’s launch date is November 8th, 2014 at Tractor Brewing Company Wells Park at 9 am. Volunteers from the community will disperse to their designated neighborhood turfs to connect with families and individuals who will benefit from these new health coverage options provided by the Affordable Care Act, or more familiarly, Obamacare.

Last year many New Mexico families received health coverage for the first time, but there are many more that need to be reached. Over 1,000 families in the Wells Park neighborhood alone are in need of health coverage and many of those families don’t know that they might qualify for these low-cost to no-cost heath coverage options.

Volunteers will not only be in Albuquerque or metro areas. In addition to the Bernalillo County area, there are four additional regions that will be launching this same project: Santa Fe, Espanola, Las Cruces, and Anthony.

So, please join us in celebrating the kick off to an even more successful enrollment period on November 8th, again at Tractor Brewing Company, Wells Park.

We are still looking for volunteers for this event, and if you or someone you know may be interested please contact: info@healthactionnm.org or Stephanie at 505-322-2152.
