Hey There Beer Farmers,
We sure hope you’re doing well. We are doing just fine on the farm. We have some tasty new flavors that are going to roll out the door, well, more like, roll into the tap room – but you get what we mean. Summer is approaching fast, and we are going to have an awesome and fun one, at Tractor Brewing. Not only do we have new beers planned for release, we have new events planned for the Summer as well!
May 21st, (REGISTER HERE) we welcome, Kelly Jo Designs by Wine to Tractor Brewing Wells Park. It will be Kelly Jo’s first time to a brewery setting, with her sip and paint business; we sat down and gave Kelly Jo the chance to “take 5” with us. We had FIVE simple questions, and she gave us five great answers. Take a read about something special right here in your city, Albuquerque natives. This is for you:
Kelly Jo Designs by Wine is the first sip and paint studio in New Mexico. They are celebrating their third year of classes open to the public. Their unique classes are housed in their very own working pottery production studio and gallery. During breaks, painters can tour the production area. Kelly Jo’s Designs by Wine is located in the North Valley, in the beautiful Village of Los Ranchos.
Take FIVE:
How long have you been around?
“Kelly Jo Designs pottery is celebrating 25th anniversary this year! We have been located in Los Ranchos since 2000. We opened the doors to our sip and paint classroom in March and have since seen over 20,000 budding artists come through our doors! We are thrilled to be able to share the thrills of creating with so many!”
How many teachers exist at Kelly Jo?
“I currently have 7 teachers, including myself. Each teacher brings their own unique style and charisma to the job! While there are sip and paint studios popping up all over, we believe our paintings capture the colors and feel of New Mexico in a very unique way.”
What are some new and exciting things for you all?
“We are about to open our wine and beer garden patio space soon! We will offer lots of opportunities for more independent artwork and socializing in a very colorful, creative setting, very soon! We anticipate being open by the end of May.”
So, you’re headed to a brewery for the first time ever, how did that come about? Why Tractor?
“We are excited by all the community/social events that Tractor offers.. There is great energy at the brewery. We are impressed with the friendly staff and of course the beer!”
What should first time painters expect – What do they get for their registration fee?
“The $35 includes all materials ( a 16”x20” canvas, brushes, apron, etc.) and instruction. The painters will be led step by step through the painting, and while no two paintings will be a like, they will all be masterpieces and as unique as the artist themselves. The process should take about 2.-2.5 hours from start to finish!”
