The Pink Boots Society’s “Melissa” is brewed to celebrate the women of the craft brewing industry. The Pink Boots Society’s mission to “Assist, Inspire, and Encourage women beer professionals through Education” is supported through various fundraising activities throughout the year, and the brewing of Melissa is Santa Fe Brewing’s contribution. We collaborated on the recipe with the national organization, hosted a number of the NM Chapter’s members for a big brew day, and are now selling the draft beer at our tap rooms as well as a few NM brewery’s taprooms to help raise money for this important cause. As such, $1 per pint sold will go to the Pink Boots Society to help finance their work, so come
and support the ladies that help make this all happen!
Melissa, meaning “Bee” in Greek, is an amber-colored, Belgian-inspired honey ale. Designed with a fruity, floral aroma from the judicious use of honey in the whirlpool, a Belgian Trappist yeast strain, and dry hopped with the Australian Ella hop variety, the aromatics alone make a statement. With a medium body and dry, warming finish, it’s the perfect beer for a Spring afternoon on the patio, paired with your favorite tacos or pizza for dinner, or a raging Ladies’ Night Out.
